FHA HORECA (2024)

This year’s FHA HoReCA exhibition was an incredible experience for the Asia Supply team! As a company specializing in water filtration solutions, sparkling water dispensers, and nitro cold brew machines, we were thrilled to connect with industry peers, showcase our innovations, and learn about the evolving needs in hospitality. Here are our key takeaways from the event.

One clear trend was the growing demand for sustainable, eco-friendly solutions in hospitality. We had numerous conversations with industry leaders looking to reduce their environmental impact, particularly by minimizing single-use plastics. Our water filtration systems and sparkling water dispensers resonated strongly, offering a way for hotels, restaurants, and cafes to serve high-quality water and beverages sustainably. We’re inspired to keep pushing for greener solutions that help businesses align with eco-conscious values.

The response to our nitro cold brew machines was phenomenal! It’s clear that beverage variety and innovation are priorities for businesses wanting to create memorable guest experiences. From cold brews to sparkling water, beverage offerings have become key touchpoints in customer service, and we’re excited to continue developing products that enable businesses to craft standout, refreshing options for their guests.

Another unique highlight was our coffee cupping demonstration, where we showcased how different types of water influence the flavor and quality of brewed coffee. Guests had the opportunity to sample coffee brewed with mineral water versus coffee made with carbon-filtered water. The contrast was significant!

Mineral Water is often preferred by coffee aficionados for its ability to enhance subtle flavors, mineral water brings out a balanced profile and smoother mouthfeel in coffee. The mineral content, especially magnesium and calcium, tends to amplify natural sweetness and body.

Carbon-filtered Water is ideal for businesses aiming for consistent, clean-tasting water, carbon-filtered water allows coffee’s basic flavors to come through but may not highlight certain delicate notes. This was a valuable insight for cafes and restaurants wanting to create specific taste profiles in their coffee offerings.

Our coffee cupping experience emphasized the importance of water quality in beverage preparation, especially in the world of specialty coffee. For cafes looking to elevate their coffee service, choosing the right water can make all the difference.

Participating in FHA HoReCA provided us invaluable opportunities to connect with new partners and clients. Through live demonstrations and insightful conversations, we received great feedback on our products and gained a deeper understanding of the specific challenges and goals of different businesses in the hospitality sector.
